The ingredients

Coconut oil is a special oil when it comes to haircare.
Due to its molecular structure, it manages to penetrate your hair deeper than other oils.
Scientific research has shown how powerful it is at restoring protein loss. It support healthy hair growth and helps reduce hair loss.

I try to do a coconut oil hair mask at least every other week and notice how well it does my hair.

Argan oil is known as liquid gold. This special oil native to Morocco contains antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, omega 6, and linoleum acid. It stimulates healthy cell production, repairs damaged hair and reduces hair loss.
Besides moisturizing your hair, it also protects it against chemicals and heat.

I bought two bottles of Argan oil during my trip to Morocco earlier this year and use it daily on my skin. It’s truly amazing!

My love for Aloe Vera started when I was a little girl. I used to watch my grandmother use her Aloe Vera plants to heal different kinds of skin conditions.
This miracle plant is also very good for hair. It moisturizes it, protects it, prevents hair loss, soothes an irritable scalp and fights dandruff.

The last ingredient in this DIY Aloe Vera lemon hair mask with argan oil is fresh lemon.

Lemon is known to be a potent dandruff healer. It is rich in vitamins C and B, minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus and calcium and Folic Acid.
It strengthens the hair follicles, reduces hair loss, has anti-fungal properties and helps get rid of dead cells.

This impressive combination of natural ingredients gives your hair and scalp a healthy boost. Let’s look at how to make it!

DIY Aloe Vera lemon hair mask with argan oil

Ingredients:

1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp argan oil
3 tbsp Aloe Vera gel
1 tbsp lemon juice

Melt the coconut oil au bain marie in a bowl placed in a pan with shimmering water without heat.

When the oil is fully melted, mix in the argan oil.

I like using fresh Aloe Vera gel from my own Aloe Vera plants, but you can also buy Aloe Vera gel online or from a health-food store.

In order to extract the gel from an Aloe Vera leaf you need to cut the leaf off and then cut it in half. Scrape off the gel, use what you need for this recipe and store the rest in a sealed container in the fridge.

Blend the Aloe Vera and add it to the oils.

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix everything.

Apply the DIY Aloe Vera lemon hair mask with argan oil to clean hair. Gently massage it into your hair and scalp in circular motions. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave the mask in for at least an hour.

Rinse your hair afterwards and wash it as usual.
